Jeff Simon is the owner/lead artist for 917ink.com. A face & body art, airbrush tattoo, & designer t-shirt company. Jeff Simon has his B.F.A. in illustration from the University of Hartford and is certified by the state of Ct to teach art in public schools. He is currently working part-time for New Haven Public Schools. He is a single father who was inspired to pursue his own art when he decided to stay home to raise his daughter. Jeff has developed the company over the passed few years since participating in a body graffiti event to help promote the clothing line. The business literally took off over night and has brought work from clients like the Wadsworth Atheneum and New Britain Parks and Rec. as well as every major nightclub in Ct, Springfield, and New Jersey.Jeff is inspired by the interaction of face & body painting. He was used to spending hours alone on designs before,but now he can get to associate with people and do his art. It has been the perfect marriage. Whether face painting for birthday parties or doing temp. tattoos in nightclubs its an absolutely great experience. Jeff also practices drawing, painting, and sculpture, but body painting has truly captivated his attention. He uses his work to reach a goal with the company, which is to spread positive energy through art.
