Hi! My name is Karen Huwen and I own and run Wow Factor Faces" in England.I have always had a love for all things arty, and used to be a graphic designer, running my own multiple award winning design company in London for several years, before stepping down to look after my three children full time. I started out in face painting a few years ago, when my children were a bit older, working solely for Frances Murray of Faces for Fun. Unfortunately due to health problems, I had to stop painting for over a year during 2012, but have since recovered and come back to my painting with a passion and a vengeance!I started my own business "Wow Factor Faces" in October 2013 and now absolutely live and breathe face painting, and more recently, body painting and henna as well. I am constantly looking at other artwork, and the beauty of nature for inspiration and ideas.I work hard to be the best painter I can be! The highlight of my year so far has been winning the "UK Professional Face Painter of the Year" award at the UK Paintopia Festival in May 2014. I was stunned to win, and delighted to be awarded my trophy by Nick Wolfe himself!We have a lovely network of painters in England and I am grateful to be a part of that community. I have been lucky enough to take classes from "Nam Nams" for adult eye designs, and a henna class from "Tropicalbird.co.uk", both of which I thoroughly enjoyed and totally recommend.I am so happy to join you here on FABA TV, it is an absolute dream come true, and I hope that you enjoy the classes!
