To a boundless artist, creating a painting on the gracious curves of a human body is the ultimate way to bring their art to life. Face & Body Painting Artist Nix Herrera does just that. With the colorful and incredibly imaginative strokes of his brush (and airbrush), Nix sets a high standard with some of the most breathtaking Body paintings and Special FX creations out there. He draws inspiration from eye catching details of his everyday life and develops mind blowing designs to paint on his models.Nix Herrera has nurtured his artistic skills from a very young age, yet Face & Body Art came into his life at the age of 18 when he began working at the Skull Kingdom haunted house in Orlando. There, Nix worked under the excellent mentoring of Bill McCoy and gained much of his experience turning actors into horrifying monsters and zombies to scare the living daylight out of paying customers. Since then, Nix has gone on to achieve a world renown status in the Face & Body Art industry. He is a regular instructor at the FABAIC in Orlando and travels all over the world body painting for many popular clients such as RedBull, Hedo3 Jamaica, Nokia and most recently Playboy Magazine's sexy tribute to Tron titled "Game on". With creations such as the Human Hybrid Goldfish, Nix has won awards at the World Body Painting Festival in Seeboden, Austria and took second place in Syfy’s Face Off Fan challenge. Nix has also been a must see artist at Nude Nite in both Orlando and Tampa for the past 8 years in a row as well as being a regular Body Painter at the Playboy Mansion’s epic parties.Nix has learned a lot in the past 12 years of his career from mentors, artists and other talented folks who have taken him under their wing. Today, Nix is putting together a workshop in Orlando for up to 6 people who are interested in learning to body paint. He is saving the 6th spot for someone who cannot afford to pay for the class as a way to pay it forward for all the support he’s had along the way. A lot has changed since Nix first began working as a body painter, there are many up and coming artists and the competition is fierce, yet he continues to set the bar high and graces everyone he meets with his amiable smile, great attitude and amazing skills.
