Tina Carroll started her artistic journey of working with the human canvas at the age of 19 behind a cosmetic counter while attending a fashion merchandising/modeling college in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She loved working with make-up, and the reaction of joy and excitement from her clients after being transformed in her make-up chair.She continued evolving through the years, working as a make-up artist for several cosmetic companies, and conducting seminars on skin care and make-up application. She has also worked in a costume shop where she learned the basics in theatrical makeup. In 2000, her sister, a college art student at the time, told her about a face painting job at the Mall of America so she switched gears and got her first face painting gig working along side her sister.Since 2001 she has been face painting for various agents. In 2004 she went back to college to work on a fine arts degree, and in 2006 started her own business, Transformations by Tina; Face & Body Art, offering face painting, body painting, glitter tattoos, and henna. Her business is now located in the Annapolis area of Maryland. Tina has always had a love for various art forms since childhood. She has won 3 art awards for 3 different mediums, and received a scholarship while working on her fine arts degree. As a make-up artist and as a face painter her work has been shown on local news stations in Minneapolis, MN. Currently she is working on a step by step face painting book for Snazaroo!
