FACE AND BODY ART EDUCATION

Whitney combined her love of people and art to find her passion in face and body art. “I always take inspiration from every model I paint,” Myers said. “I get to know her, I get to know what she’s interested in and then I design a concept that fits her personality – something that she’s going to be comfortable, confident and excited to wear.” Myers is a Fort Bliss Army wife transplanted from Jacksonville, Fla. Always interested in visual art, she tried out different mediums, including sketching and sculpture, until finding her passion in face and body paint. “About five years ago, I got a job in Jacksonville with an entertainment company being a face painter,” she said. “I painted my first face when I interviewed for the job and I fell in love with it. I never stopped. For weeks after that, I just kept painting faces.” Since then, Myers has received many accolades, winning first and third places at the International Snazaroo Step by Step Competition, being selected as one of the top 100 artists by the Chuco Network in 2011 and being selected to instruct at the International Art and Body Experience Face and Body Painting Convention in 2013.
